Alternative clothing
Alternative clothing refers to the kind of dress that people of the Hip Hop culture wear. When the Hip Hop culture came about in the 1970’s, it came across as a rebellious and shocking way of portraying fashion. During those times, urban and skate clothing was considered as being very controversial, causing this kind of fashion statement to go underground.
There are many designers in the history of Hip Hop, who have been contributing a huge resource of designs to the world. Right from torn t-shirts and offensive clothing, this kind of clothing has eventually matured as one of the most popular kind of clothing that people of the new generation sport. Alternative clothing had its origins from right here in America.
The accessories that go with alternative clothing initially looked weird and people who wore it were branded as being unconventional, usually being looked down upo by people who are into mainstream clothing. Controversial images and patches along with studded jackets was the way the Hip Hop culture initially started.
From there to now, the world has evolved to accept the culture. In fact, the minute you walk on the street you are most likely to find good many people sporting skate clothing. When it comes to the footwear that the urban dressers wore, they usually wore motorcycle boots. However, that slowly changed and people started getting into the basketball culture and started wearing sneakers to mimic basketball stars. This was just the beginning alternative clothing. A huge revolution happened when the 1980s welcomed the Hip Hop culture with open arms. With the different accessories that the Hip Hop enthusiasts wore, people started getting used to the fashion statement that skate clothing was making on the world.
In today’s world, urban and alternative clothing has become one of the most creative ways that people are able to express what they feel and about how they desire to make a difference.

Keep your clothes brand-new
We all want to wear our favorites forever, yet lifestyle and changing body shape don’t always allow that to happen. Even if you aren’t too tough on your clothes, and you tend to keep at the same weight over time your favorite clothes will wear out. Wool droops, cotton stains and leather dries and cracks.
So how do you keep your clothes from going to the rag mill before their time? How do you postpone the inevitable and get more wear before they become threadbare sagging and cracking clothes? Here are a few tips.
Wool threads are made from the hairs of sheep, so as with your own hair, excessive heat or chemicals will cause damage. Dry cleaning applies a lot of heat and chemicals that tend to dry out the wool fibers. Over time the chemicals used to clean clothes leave their own residue that over time causes fabric colors to look faded. The chemicals used also break down the fibers of wool by removing the moisture and making the wool brittle. So when possible, it is better to use a damp sponge to wipe down then press your suits, jackets, vests and trousers without the use of a dry cleaner. Dry clean sparingly.
Shirts of cotton tend to yellow through the dry cleaning process so laundering is the best bet. Wearing an undershirt helps keeps sweat off the shirt, sweat that can contain different salts and oils from your body that if left unwashed for a long period of time cause yellow stains that are hard to remove. Be sure to clean food stains right away since these can also become permanent if not dealt with soon after.

The new fashion in new generation
Many young designers are venturing into making with out-of-the-box designs. They are trying to bring a wide range of novelty and innovation to the clothes that they design. This is even more fueled by the growing demand for street clothing that puts more emphasis on self-expression and individualism. In today’s world, youth want to be able to make their mark with a signature that is unique and this is comes in the form of street clothing.
In order to make sure that they are in touch with the latest street clothing designs, most designers get in touch with young people and seek their advice. Others, on the other hand, create designs based only on what their client or customer would request for them. The latter strategy allows designers to come up with unique designs that are really representative of what the client wants to express.
The work environment in the fashion industry revolves around the hip-hop generation these days. Young designers are starting to get passionate about the way thy design street clothing for the present generation. The other way that the hip-hop generation is becoming popular is through many magazines and books that showcase celebrities sporting urban clothing. These are all inspirational ways that designers are hooked on the hip-hop culture these days.
Many branded designers have even focused their attention toward designing street clothing, even skate clothing, and having these designs published in popular magazines. This evokes many ideas into the younger generation about what sort of hip-hop clothing is in and what is widely accepted. The fabric played a small role in the hip-hop clothing sector for many years. These days, designers are changing that impression by inducing quality self designed fabric into their street clothing designs.
Street clothing is the typical American way of dressing and targeting the American youth is what designers these days aim at doing. Many designers make their designs available at wholesale rates to be able to match the competitive market. All designers come up with original designs for their street clothing sector, all aimed at satisfying their customers.
